10 pack box of Aquaponic Elements (treats 1,000 gallons):
Aquaponic gardening is a great way to garden but as many aquaponic gardeners already know, one of the limitations that prevent them from successfully growing flowering and fruiting plants with straight fish waste is that it lacks sufficient amounts of calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium. Any nutrients which we would add to increase these trace elements must be ‘Fish Friendly’ or the fish will suffer or die.
Aquaponic Elements has been specially designed and blended for medium based aquaponic gardens such as gravel, clay pebbles, perlite and coco. Unlike other trace mineral amendments designed for soil mediums Aquaponic Elements will not harm fish or pump systems when used at the recommended levels.
There are many benefits to adding Aquaponic Elements to your garden which include:
Induces flowering and fruiting.
Fish and environmentally friendly.
Increases the levels of trace mineral elements.
Economical and easy to use.
Contains no Silicon Crystalline Quartz.
Will not harm pump systems when used as directed.
Does not add nitrogen to the system
Will not ‘burn’ your plants.
Leaves minimal residue.
Mined in Europe, Aquaponic Elements blends a pristine mined mineral rock dust which we ground to a fine powder and packaged in individual, ¼ pound (112 grams) tea bags. Each bag will treat 100 gallons of water for between 40-60 days. Flowering and fruiting plants which have longer growth cycles should be retreated every 60 days.
These trace mineral elements are found in every application of Aquaponic Elements and are essential to every stage of plant growth:
Available Phosphoric Acid (P₂O5) 0.13%
Soluble Potash (K20) 0.11%
Calcium (Ca) 1.23%
Magnesium (Mg) 1.74%
Iron (Fe) 0.85%
We do not recommend adding the Aquaponic Elements directly into fish holding tanks. Instead the
treatment should be introduced to the grow tables after the water has left the fish holding tank. This
assures that the initial dosing of Aquaponic Elements has passed through the plant tray before being
cycled back into the fish holding tank.
Remove the tea bag from its plastic wrapper and lightly tap the contents
down to flatten the bag out in the palm of your hand. Aquaponic
Elements is a fine powder and it’s normal for a small amount of that
powder to escape the tea bag. Simply wash your hand over the grow
bed and the powder will make it into the system.
Allow water from the fish tank, or another source if necessary, to low flow spray
over tea bag and onto the plant grow bed. During the water down process you will
see the contents begin to dissolve and leave the bag in a light brown liquid. This is
normal and desirable. The entire water down process takes less than a minute.
During this time you may wish to lightly massage the contents and turn the bag over
while watering to assure distribution of the contents. A small amount of material
will usually be left in the bag which can be added to any soil based garden.
Aquaponic Elements may also be safely used in hydroponic systems at the rate of no more than one pound per 400 gallons of water which is to be added to the nutrient solution in an aerated tank. For smaller hydroponic systems the mixture rate is one level teaspoon for every 5 gallons of water to be treated.
Do not drink or ingest this product and if any product is to be removed from tea bag we strongly
encourage the use of a respirator mask to prevent inhalation of airborne particles.
